Beloved, President Donald Trump is not the only one who is acquitted! If YOU have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then YOU, child of God, have been acquitted, washed clean, vindicated, justified, set free and made the righteousness of God in Christ!
“and having lifted up their eyes, they saw no one, except Jesus only.” Matthew 17:8 YLT1898
It’s so easy in our suffering to focus on being free from it or to obtain what we want. It’s also so easy, in these connected times, to see what’s going on in other’s lives and get focused on getting more or doing more.
“For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. But you would not,” Isaiah 30:15 AMPC
“Slow down,” whispers your Father.“In coming back to Me and finding your rest in My love, you’ll experience Christmas.”
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 NKJV
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder…So what exactly are you beholding?
Beautiful things are all around us. Yet, I can’t help but wonder if maybe we miss true beauty most of the time. Perhaps what is most lovely is passed by altogether because we haven’t truly seen the Altogether Lovely One. (Song of Songs 5:16).
“Now thanks be to God for His Gift, [precious] beyond telling [His indescribable, inexpressible, free Gift]!” 2 Corinthians 9:15 AMPC
Every gift we are thankful for today was gifted because of THE GIFT, Jesus. All our thankfulness can only be found in Him where we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28).
Every good and perfect free gift that flows to you from our Father of love and lights, is only because THE GIFT, Jesus, endured our suffering and bore our cross; absorbing our place of sin, receiving our condemnation and becoming our curse.
“For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” II Corinthians 6:2 NKJV
Regret is a robber who takes peace from you; whispering the lie your past has not been redeemed. Worry is unbelief that steals life from you; shouting Jesus’s work couldn’t have possibly covered my future.
But He who is your Resurrection and your Life reminds you that His perfect love is your rear guard and His Goodness goes before you.
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” I Corinthians 15:57
It’s no wonder the devil tries to get glory for the very day God Himself has ordained “set-apart” for Himself. This day, October 31, is a day when the Lord chose a man by the name of Martin Luther to bring about a divine reformation in the church and the saving of countless lives by encountering the true gospel.
Today is not the devil’s day. Today is the anniversary of the rediscovery of the doctrine of justification by faith – that is, salvation by grace alone (Gal. 2:21) through faith alone in Christ alone.
“I am my beloved’s, And His desire is for me.” Song of SOLOMON 7:10 AMP
Do you believe He desires you? Do you believe He longs to hear your voice and waits for you to come to Him so He can be all you need? Do you believe when you doubt He is faithful?
Do you trust when you have nothing to give, He gives all He is? Are you confident that when you have no confidence, He is your confident expectation of good? Have you been told that it’s not about your doing but His “done” that causes you to experience His grace? Have you received the good news that declares when you are unlovable, Perfect Love pursues you all the more?
Do you know it’s your weakness; your being able to accomplish nothing in your own effort that attracts His resurrection power? Have you been reminded the pressure is off to perform and you can cease from your moral striving because you are clothed in His spotless, unearned, glorious robe of righteousness?
Beloved, what if today, you focused not on yourself; not on what you think you need to do or what you’ve failed to do, but on Jesus only; your true identity. Choose to fix the eyes of your heart on the truth that you are His desire. He simply loves being with you. And He’ll do all the rest.
“Return to the Stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.” Zechariah 9:12 NKJV
The Word says “Hope deferred or unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick…BUT…when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.” (Proverbs 13:12 MSG, AMPC).
I know many of you have been in a long season of tough stuff where it seems as though there’s no breakthrough or change in sight. I know there are things you’ve been trusting in the Lord for you feel will never come to pass. And I know that in the disappointments, hard-pressing and oppression it has felt as though hope is nowhere to be found.
When Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River, as He rose up out of the water, the Holy Spirit came upon Him and He heard His Father’s voice say, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I AM well pleased” (Matt. 3:13).At this point in Jesus‘s life, He had not yet done one miracle. He had done nothing for His Father and He had done no ministry.
Jesus was born fully Man and fully God. Yet, leaving His throne for you, He emptied Himself of His deity to rely solely on His Father by the power of the Holy Spirit. Although He was completely sinless, He still lived in all humanness like us; understanding struggle, weakness and testing. Beloved, He’s not out of touch with our earthly reality. He understands fully what you go through and experience entirely. His suffering was your suffering so you could be healed and made whole.
