“The mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My unfailing, steadfast, faithful love for you will never cease. My covenant of peace and completeness won’t fall apart,” says your Father. (Isaiah 54:10)
His perfect love for you isn’t going anywhere. It’s the only stable you can count on; the only Reality that remains.
In the fourth watch of the night when the disciples were stuck in the middle of the sea surrounded by waves of resistance, Jesus came to them walking on their torment. (Mark 6:45-52)
The only way we will see healing in the land is if we receive it for ourselves first, looking to Jesus only. There is no healing apart from Jesus. There is no peace apart from Jesus. There is no freedom apart from Jesus. And unless we hear, know and believe what Jesus suffered on our behalf – to give us His healing, wholeness, well-being, peace and completeness – we will continue to look to self, man, systems or natural means to get it (of which none can sustain you).
You’ve heard the expression, “Timing is everything.” Well, I believe we are in an unprecedented kairos time or season. In the Bible, there are two Greek words to define “time.” One is chronos (chronological time as in hours, days, months), the other is kairos. Kairos basically means an appointed and opportune moment or due season. It is “God’s appointed time”; a sacred, favorable time.
Now usually when we speak of a kairos season in the church, it’s so easy to fall into the overly spiritual and even religious idea that it means we are to get busy doing something that the Lord is releasing an anointing for. But this current kairos moment is not about us getting busy.
Condemnation always keeps you from enjoying His constant love. Condemnation always keeps you from experiencing the benefits of His peace found in believing your complete innocence IN Christ.
The evidence of your innocence is Jesus. The gospel is the scandalous good news of what God did right in His Son’s death, burial and resurrection by putting you in perfect standing and unbreakable union with Him. Jesus was condemned in your place.
No matter what you are up against…whether it be an emotional, spiritual or physical enemy. Whether it’s a relationship, your health, finances or maybe there’s just a battle going on in your mind…
Stand boldly in your Father’s presence, cry out to Him in your distress and hear your Savior say to you, “My beloved, do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but Mine. Where I AM, there you are. So see it as a finished work and Rest!”
“Life from the Center is a life of unhurried peace and power. It is simple. It is serene. It is amazing. It is triumphant. It is radiant. It takes no time, but it occupies all our time. And it makes our life programs new and overcoming. We need not get frantic. He is at the helm. And when our little day is done we lie down quietly in peace, for all is well.” -Thomas Kelly
This is one of my (many) favorite quotes. Life from The Center simply put is living life from the Presence of Jesus. Unhurried; without frantic busyness, frenzied days, panic or the need to have control.
We can truly become an overly busy people. Our natural propensity is towards “doing” because it’s within our flesh the law rages on seeking still to get us to do or perform for God in an exhausting effort to please Him.
We still think that somehow DO=God loving us. It’s a hellish state to live from. (He loves because it’s Who He Is). There’s a better Way.
The keys of authority over every form of death that kept you down, that tries to keep you down, were gifted to the prince of lies by the first Adam (man) in the first garden.
🔑
But while in the garden tomb, The Second Adam, (The Son of Man) took back the keys of the dominion of the realm of death and hell.
🔑
By entering into death Himself, Jesus annihilated the effects of the accuser who once held that power (Hebrews 2:14).
Right now there’s a shaking going on. But that shaking doesn’t have to make you tremble. Don’t let it take up residence in your heart because Christ, your Hope of Glory, has made His home there!
