2 Corinthians 3:6 TPT
Today is Pentecost Sunday.
On the first Pentecost (Shavuot), 50 days after the first Passover, God gave the law (the ministry of death) through Moses on Mount Sinai. And do you know what happened? After they enslaved themselves again by worshipping a false god, 3,000 people died.
But, 50 days after Jesus (the True Passover Lamb) conquered death and rose victoriously (without your sin!), the disciples were eagerly waiting in the upper room (which is on Mount Zion) for God to endue them with power from on High. And do you know what happened? His flames of passionate love fell upon them, filling them with His Spirit, giving them a new heavenly language (tongues is for you today) to equip them to live a supernatural life and worship the Father in Spirit, Truth and eternal freedom…and 3,000 people to got saved (Acts 2)!
Beloved, you are no longer under law (which was given to bring you to the end of yourself and recognize your need for a Savior). You are under grace in Christ. By believing in Messiah (Yeshua, Jesus, Salvation), you no longer live your life by striving, rule-keeping and rituals but by simple trust in the Only Perfect One who fulfilled the law through His finished work.
Let today be a reminder NOT to be law-led which will lead you right into a life of condemnation and curse. But be Spirit-led; resting in the NEW Covenant of undeserved favor, enjoying a real relationship with your Father, which will lead you right into a life of victory, power, wholeness and abundance!
As His child, He longs for you to ask Him for a fresh immersion of His Saving-Spirit and a fresh embrace of His unrelenting fiery love!
