“At least there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail. Its roots may grow old in the ground and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put forth shoots like a plant.”
Job 14:7-9 NIV
It’s been a trying month for many. Both opposition and oppression have sought to weigh down the hearts of Father’s favored ones. The enemy has set out to attack our minds and annihilate our faith. You may feel like you were once a thriving tree living the good life but are now “cut down” with confusion.
Child of God, do not despair. Your Savior, The Tree of Life, was cut down in your place at the cross to make you an Evergreen!
He was crushed and put to death to make you whole and give you abundant resurrection life!
Job 14:9 says “yet, at the scent of water it will bud…” Water always speaks of God’s Living Word. Jesus is the Word made flesh and He wants to remind you today to feed on His living Word of life-giving love and grace that says “Come home to My rest, BELIEVE and receive!”
No pressure, pain or persecution can cut you off from His perfect love, promises and presence. Nothing can undo what God has already DONE! His finished work of redeeming you and making you righteous is just that: FINISHED!
However, unbelief can make us feel “cut-off” from Him. It’s what being under law does.
But under grace, there’s no more striving to earn His acceptance and blessings. There’s no more trying to please Him to earn His pleasure and prosperity for you.
He has prepared the place of His heart for you to lay it all down; casting every care at the foot of His cross so you can freely reap His undeserved healing and provision in the presence of your enemies.
Beloved, He wastes nothing. In every difficult trial, through intimacy, He enlarges you with divine transformation and grows you in the knowledge of Him!
Today, no matter how “stumped” you may feel, just run to Him as you are! Choose to put your hope in His Word and declare: “I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love for me” (Psalm 52:8).
Then get ready…because He’s getting ready to pour out an anointing in a river of refreshing and restoration like none you have ever seen!
Resting In His Love,
Annalee Reyes
