The Spirit of Faith

When Moses sent 12 men to spy out the Promised Land (the land the Lord said He was already giving them), 10 came back and gave a bad report because of fear. All they could do is see the giants of the land with natural eyes.

The other two, Caleb and Joshua, had eyes of faith and trusted in what the Lord had already told them. Caleb (who had a “different Spirit” – a Spirit of faith and wholeheartedly followed the Lord) despite the obstacles in the land, brought back proof of the goodness of God and declared that the land they passed through was an EXCEEDINGLY good land! He even said the giants of the land were their prey to devour!

Believer, now is not the time to bow to fear and cowardice. Fear is a spirit. But you, child of God, do not have a spirit of fear (timidity & cowardice). You have a Spirit of power, love and a sound mind.

Your work is to believe Jesus. Draw near to the Lover of your soul. Wholeheartedly follow after your Shepherd. Be led by the Spirit, not the flesh!

Like Caleb and Joshua, lift up the evidence of the cross in your worship instead of carrying the burden of unbelief. (Numbers 13:23)

Silence the voice of lies and false reports you are about to hear. And instead, tune in to the Voice of Truth, speaking out the Word of God!

As I said before, no matter how messy it gets or how big the giants in the land, the end result will TRUMP all you could ask or imagine!
