The Word says “Hope deferred or unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick…BUT…when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.” (Proverbs 13:12 MSG, AMPC).
I know many of you have been in a long season of tough stuff where it seems as though there’s no breakthrough or change in sight. I know there are things you’ve been trusting in the Lord for you feel will never come to pass. And I know that in the disappointments, hard-pressing and oppression it has felt as though hope is nowhere to be found.
But I want to remind you today that eternal hope is not an ideal, a positive thought or even a lie. HOPE is a person. His name is Jesus. And as a believer, He lives in you and you are found in Him.
“And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!”
Romans 5:5 TPT
Having Jesus as your hope means you can have a confident expectation and anticipation of His goodness without fail because it’s not dependent on you. It is dependent solely on Himself, Who He Is and what He’s done for you.
Hope is believing He will never let you down or let you go; as Perfect Goodness Himself, He never changes and His plans for you are always of peace, life and to give you the outcome you expect from Him.
Hope is the trust in your heart that says, “Because Jesus took my sin and shame at the cross, buried my curses in the grave and raised my new-self in His righteousness alone, all that He is and all He’s ever desired for me is mine!”
“Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in Him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with His super-abundance until you radiate with hope!”
Romans 15:13 TPT
Beloved, He can and will use everything that has been stolen from you or has harmed you for your upmost good, fullness and increase. As a matter of fact, He promises you double for your trouble when you simply receive His grace and come back to the security of His love. He wants you to be a prisoner of His Hope, not a slave of despair.
It’s time to put your trust in Jesus only (not in man, not in circumstances), knowing His ways are higher than yours.
“…Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Colossians 1:27 NKJV
The season is changing.
Restoration is on the way.
So get your hopes back up…where you are seated in Christ!
Even now, I’m personally praying for you…for fresh hope, the manifestation of breakthroughs, healings, new beginnings and surprise favors, in His Name!
“For You are my hope; O Lord God, You are my trust from my youth and the source of my confidence.”
Psalm 71:5 AMPC
Resting In His Love,
