My Soul Is Content In You Lord

“Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me [ceased from fretting].”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭131:2‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Stop wondering when the wind and the waves will be stilled. And instead look to the One who is your stillness in the storm.
In this world, you will always have shaky situations that confront you. But Jesus is your unshakable Shalom.

Shalom is not only the complete peace, wholeness and reverberating life of His being, but is the Spirit that destroys chaos. This is the same Spirit that was given up for you at the cross where Jesus made a public spectacle of the powers of darkness, defeating your problem and silencing your accuser (Colossians 2:15).

When the enemy comes in like a flood to steal, kill and destroy, choose to still your soul in your Shepherd’s love and care. Don’t try to figure it out or concern yourself with matters too lofty for you to carry. But guard and quiet your heart in His acceptance and covering. Stay seated in your stable position in Christ. And find rest in your heavenly reality that He already sees you on the other side.

“Lord, my heart is meek before you. I don’t consider myself better than others. I’m content to not pursue matters that are over my head— such as your complex mysteries and wonders— that I’m not yet ready to understand. I am humbled and quieted in your presence. Like a contented child who rests on its mother’s lap, I’m your resting child and my soul is content in you.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭131:1-2‬ ‭TPT‬‬
