Recently, the Lord placed in my spirit a question to ask. I knew I was meant to ponder it, write about it, then release it to draw near and set free the ones who needed to hear it.
“Are you satisfied?”
Naturally speaking, we have every modern advancement at our fingertips. We have access to more technologies, more connections, more information, more people, more opportunities, more goods, more medicines, more food and more entertainment.
And yet there’s never been more depression, more sickness, more suicides, more addictions, more loneliness, more psychological warfare, more restlessness, more discouragement, more discontentment and more dissatisfaction.
As a believer in Christ and a child of God, this is the greatest time on earth to be alive. With the unveiling and destruction of one of the greatest global evil agendas in history, is come the greatest filling of the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as HIS Kingdom advances in this new era.
But because of the heaviness of the spiritual battle we’re in, many in the body of Christ are still feeling like the Rolling Stones when they sang, “I can’t get no satisfaction…cause I try and I try and I try and I try.”
The problem is just that…trying and trying and trying to attain by your own efforts what you think will satisfy you or trying to fill a void that can only be met by Jesus. When you put any person or thing in a place where your happiness depends on that person or thing, you will be disappointed. Only the Lord can fill that space and bind up that wound. He is truly the only One who can satisfy your heart’s desires and heal you wholly, body and soul.
“You are my satisfaction, Lord, and all that I need…” Psalms 119:57 TPT
Do you feel like you always need to do more, spend more, feel more or be more to get more? Beloved, you already have; you already are. ALL you’ll ever need has already been purchased for you with the blood of your Savior.
You are a new creation in Christ (a new creature altogether) given the very identity of Jesus Himself. By HIS finished work, you have become a co-heir of the Kingdom of God. Seated in Him at the right hand of Father, you can access -by simple trust- all that Heaven IS, on earth now.
Not only that, but the Kingdom of God lives within you. Jesus, The Precious Treasure, possessed in your fragile human vessel, is your supply and your exceedingly great reward.
In you He IS:
your forgiveness.
your acceptance.
your comforter.
your hope.
your health.
your healing.
your hiding place.
your peace.
your provision.
your protection.
your prosperity.
your restoration.
your wisdom.
your strength.
your success.
your joy.
your defender.
your best friend.
And your REST!
You don’t need more stuff. You don’t need more activity. You don’t need more followers and you don’t need to try to fit in. You don’t need to be like someone else and you don’t need to perform to be accepted. You don’t need a bigger ministry, business or bank account.
All you need is a bigger revelation of Jesus, His Person and all He’s accomplished for and bequeathed to you in His death, burial and resurrection. The more you turn to Him, talk with Him and rely on Him, the more you will grow in intimacy with Him and increasingly receive from the river of His pleasures.
“They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.”Psalms 36:8 NKJV
So seek Him. Seek first His Kingdom (which is His righteousness, peace and joy IN the Holy Spirit, Romans 14:17) and His righteousness. And all these things taken together, will be given you besides (Matthew 6:33).
“As for me, I will continue beholding Your face in righteousness (rightness, justice, and right standing with You); I shall be fully satisfied, when I awake [to find myself] beholding Your form [and having sweet communion with You].” Psalm 17:15 AMPC
That means your peace and joy are sandwiched between the revelation of Jesus being your righteousness (your perfect right standing with God). When you focus on the truth that He washed you clean, made flawless and declares you innocent (clothed in unconditional love and drenched with unearned favor) then all other gifts will be drawn in like a magnet.
When you lay down your guilt, anxieties, dependencies, obsessions, preoccupations and yearnings at the feet of Jesus (releasing the weight of them), His perfect love will lift you back up into the LIGHT of His presence, satiating you with His sufficiency.
“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.” Matthew 6:30-33 MSG
So today, wherever you feel the most unsatisfied, you need to fight to believe right by bringing it back to the cross where the Son fully satisfied the Father on your behalf. Then let Jesus, your Life Source, satisfy you there.

“And you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord, your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you. And My people shall never be put to shame.” Joel 2:26 AMPC
