Palm Sunday is the 10th of Nisan on the Jewish calendar. The day the Lord told His people to “take for himself a lamb…a lamb for a household” to prepare for the first Passover (Exodus 12:3).
On the same day, 1,500 years later, Jesus, the true Passover Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, made His Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. It was His last public appearance before His Passion, in hopes that His own would choose Him as their forgiveness and freedom.
Yet, they missed seeing the God of Grace and Truth and instead chose a “natural lamb” for the coming Passover sacrifice as they had done every year since their exodus from Egypt.
And while some offered palms of praise in Hosannas hoping Jesus would save them from their Roman oppressors, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, made His way through the Sheep Gate to destroy the works of the real oppressor, the devil, by offering Himself for all humanity.
The Prince of Peace did not ride into the city on a warhorse to condemn the world. He came humbly riding on the colt of a donkey to save the worst.
He was saying, “take Me” and I will clothe you in My garments of Salvation. Lay down your filthy rags of shame and your religious works and I will array you in My robe of righteousness causing you to flourish like a palm tree (Psalm 92:12).
Even King David had a revelation of His Savior’s sacrifice when he said, “What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me? I will TAKE up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord” (Psalms 116:12-13).
Beloved, faith (trust, belief) is the heart that takes from the Father. For He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for YOU, freely gives you all things in Him” (Romans 8:32)!
Take Jesus as your substitute. Take His love, take His healing, take His acceptance, take His righteousness, take His peace, take His provision, take His protection, take His GRACE! Freedom and wholeness are not found in a formula. They are not manufactured by self-effort. They are not paid for by your performance. They are made manifest through faith in the One who finished it all at the cross.
“Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. So let’s walk right up to Him and get what He is so ready to give. TAKE the mercy, accept the help.” Hebrews 4:14-16 MSG
Yes, Jesus is all yours for the taking.
Resting In His Love,

Jesus has been pursuing you relentlessly all your life. If you’ve never received Jesus Christ as your forgiveness, Lord and Savior, you can pray this simple prayer from your heart and become born again, a brand new creation and child of Daddy God, your loving Father:
“Heavenly Father, Thank you for sending your Son for me. I believe He came to earth to be born in the flesh to die my death on the cross. I believe His blood washed my sins away and completely cleansed me. I believe He redeemed me from every curse by becoming my curse and was raised from the dead because I was declared justified and righteous. Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I am now fully forgiven! I am a child of God, blessed, favored and incomprehensibly loved. In Jesus Name. Amen!”
