Filled With Light In The Face of Jesus

At the beginning of the year, the Lord Jesus gave me the Word “LIGHT” from which I wrote my first 2023 blog titled, “Jesus My Light.”

As the year progressed, Holy Spirit continually highlighted the higher ways of how Jesus’s life (which is His light) has been illuminating every dark and hard place in the most unusual and unexpected yet extraordinary ways; His Sonshine interlacing all things together for my good.

Often times when we think of light in the darkness, we automatically think of a bursting breakthrough. And sometimes Holy Spirit manifests Himself that way.

But most of the time, it is a quieter, deeper diffusion through the simple and mundane experiences and challenges of life. Only then can we come to know HIM more.

The more you hear and see Jesus and all He accomplished as and for you, the more you will experience His reverberating, life-giving light that saves, restores, heals, and transforms; filling your heart and permeating every detail of your life…even and especially when your heart and flesh fail and you stumble and fall.

As a matter of fact, it’s when we go through those very difficult seasons, we come to the end of ourselves and our own strength. It’s then we fall into the Arms of Grace, in greater dependence, knowing from beginning to end, HE does it all.

Everything, and I mean everything, goes back to Jesus, His death, burial and resurrection. In our anguish, we need to be reminded that it was HIS anguish alone that saved us from every form of death and darkness and brought us into His marvelous realm of light.

Isaiah 53:11 in The Passion Translation divinely reveals this truth (parentheses and emphasis mine):

“After the great anguish of His (Jesus) soul, He (Father God) will see LIGHT and be fully satisfied. By knowing Him, the righteous one, my servant will make many to be righteous, because He, their sin-bearer, carried away their sins.”

The light of Jesus is the manifestation of the power and source of His love. When every one of your sins was obliterated in His body, and He defeated your death in the grave, He was resurrected (taking you with Him), making you righteous.

His light, teeming with endless life, infiltrated that tomb as proof He has made you spotless and blameless in His sight forever. Now that Light is teeming with life in and upon you!

Your Father is fully satisfied with you because He is fully satisfied with His Son’s perfect, finished work at the cross. The more you believe this revelation, the more you will personally and intimately experience Him.

“Each of us is raised into a light-filled world by our Father so that we can see where we’re going in our new grace-sovereign country.” Romans 6:5 MSG

No more hiding, no more shame. His smile is radiating over you as you stand face to face in the light of His presence. No more trying, no more performing. His rest is waiting for you.

As you come back into His perfect acceptance of you, you will sense the light of His freedom bringing ease and refreshment to your soul.

And as you let go of all that’s been weighing you down in a shadow of darkness, you will see the breaking of His dawn growing brighter and brighter in your circumstances.

Beloved, there’s nothing for you to do except to let His goodness and kindness break off your wrong believing and bring you back into the gleaming truth of His delight and undeserved favor over you!

In simple trust, freely receive His glorious rays of hope, peace and expectation in the simple things today.

“Remember, our Message is not about ourselves; we’re proclaiming Jesus Christ, the Master. All we are is messengers, errand runners from Jesus for you. It started when God said, “Light up the darkness!” and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful.”

2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:5-6‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Resting In His Love-Light,
