Jesus, Our Passover Lamb

Why Passover is relevant for the believer today…

While we use a different calendar than the Jewish people, Jesus was crucified on the Feast of Passover. He is the Passover Lamb who took away the sin of the world. Today, just by BEHOLDING HIM, full of Grace and Truth, we are transformed and blessed.

The first Passover (the night when the Israelites put the blood of their unblemished lamb on the their doorposts) is a picture of the cross. The Lord said the blood would be a sign for his people. But it’s when God saw the blood (that sealed, protected and delivered them) on the door, they were covered by His righteousness and death could not touch them (Exodus 12:1-13).

It’s all about the blood of His Son! It’s not about your works or who you are; it’s about His goodness expressed in the perfection of Jesus’s finished work! He even brought them out of slavery with health and prosperity! (Exodus 11:2-3, Psalm 105:37).

Beloved, focus on what Jesus took for you. And Who He is now for you; your very life! Look to the cross and see Him taking your sin and curses. See His undying love for you. And because Father sees your trust in His Son’s blood, darkness will be far from you as His glory falls on you!

“For indeed, you are clean because Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out [freely], and will find pasture.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬
