Your Suffering Servant

Last night’s moon was beautiful. As I snapped this picture I was instantly reminded of Jesus, my Suffering Servant, beginning His passion for me in the Garden of Gethsemane.

He was in such agony, such torment, such stress over what He was about to endure that His sweat turned to drops of blood.

“And being in an agony [of mind], He prayed [all the] more earnestly and intently, and His sweat became like great clots of blood dropping down upon the ground.” Luke‬ ‭22:44‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

This is actually a real but rare medical condition caused by extreme anguish (hematidrosis).

And He suffered it for you. He was becoming your every curse; redeeming you from them so you could have His peace, wholeness, health, and all the blessings of His unmerited grace in your life (see Galatians 3:13).

Beloved, He knows about mental torment. He knows about anxiety and grief. He took your place to give you His. Today, take time to be still, see Jesus taking your distress. And release it for His REST.

Love did this. His blood poured out for you as liquid love. Boldly take what Jesus paid for you to freely receive. That’s Faith.

Shalom. Shalom.

Resting In His Love,

Annalee Reyes
