“I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose LIFE so that you and your children will live…Oh yes, He IS Life itself…”Deuteronomy 30:19-20 MSG
How do you choose to see life in the midst of darkness? You see Jesus. He is Life itself and the length of your days. How do you see Jesus? You see Him in the Word and you see Him as the Word.
See Him as the Person of Grace not law. See Him saving you by His blood, touching you with His compassion, lifting you in His love and healing you through your trust.
Behold Him. Behold His glory as the Suffering Savior who was crushed for you, becoming your sin, pain, hurt, sickness, judgment and guilt. The One Who came to serve you, feed you, restore you and reign with you.
Perceive Him as your Prince of Peace who redeemed you from the curse of sin and strife, burying it all in the grave, defeating hell so you wouldn’t have to go through it.
And behold Him as your Resurrected King who was raised from the dead taking you with Him in Perfect Righteousness to sit in His Rest with your Father in Heavenly places.
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
Right now there is deep darkness covering the earth. There might be deep darkness in your season or situation. But Jesus is in your midst as the Mighty Lover of your soul, to save you and make you alive in His presence in every way.
On the cross, with natural eyes, all they saw was the end. But it was just the beginning. Jesus, Who is the Beginning and the End, was birthing eternal and abundant life for you through your union with Him. In His death, He swallowed up death (and every form of it) so you could receive resurrection power in your body, soul, spirit, relationships and situations, simply by seeing Him and His passion for you with eyes of faith.
Before you is placed the tree of the knowledge of good and evil or the Tree of Life…Law or Grace…trying or trusting…religion or relationship…strife or rest…working or receiving…condemnation or the gift of righteousness…performancism or peace. Choose Life. See Jesus and live!
Resting In His Love,
