No one cares more about your heart than the One who fashioned and formed it.
Jesus is most concerned with both your soul heart as well as your physical heart. And it breaks His heart when yours is anxious, hurt or heavy because He suffered so deeply so you could walk deeply in His peace and wholeness.
Beloved, He knows what you’re dealing with. He knows what’s hurting you. He knows your need. He already bore every curse so you don’t have to.
His desire for you is to let it go unto Him, keeping watch over your heart so the stress and heartache don’t take up permanent residence there, leading you into despair.
Proverbs 4:23 says, “So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life” (TPT).
But just before that verse it says to turn your attention to His Words, keeping them in your sight and within your heart because they impart life and health. (Verses 21&22).
The Word of God is living and active because the Word is Jesus. And Jesus is Perfect Love, Grace, Resurrection Life, Health and Peace.
The Bible is not a rule book. It’s the revelation of Jesus; His love and sacrifice for you. It’s where you meet with Him, see Him and grow in intimacy with Him.
The Word of God is all about relationship. It’s where you go to be reminded that because Jesus did it all, you are free to freely receive Him as your Miracle, Breakthrough, Father, Shepherd, Provider, Righteousness, Rescuer and Rest. He is the Lover of your soul.
This very moment, you can choose to pour it all out to Him. Be vulnerable about your burdens, cares, worries, fears and the anguish of your soul. Then leave it with Him, releasing the weight of it.
Place your hand over your heart and whisper, “let not your heart be troubled” (John 14:27), as many times as needed.
This is guarding your heart. And when you choose to protect your heart and enter into His rest, He will guard all else and take care of the rest!
Resting In His Love,
