Baby Bread

Everything about His birth points to His death. Like the manna, tiny as a coriander seed (Numbers 11:7), fell from Heaven, so the Bread of Life, left His throne in Heaven, to enter the womb, a tiny seed; God becoming man to redeem humanity.

But this Manger King was not placed in a wooden box as seen in most Nativity scenes. He was placed in a hewn-out stone livestock feeding trough; a small replica of His tomb hewn out of rock.

Wrapped in swaddling cloths as a babe after birth, just as He was wrapped in linen as a man after His death…He was the only baby ever born with the purpose of dying…for you. And this, so that you might have life victorious in Him, here and now.

He wants to feed you with no strings attached. He wants you to take from His finished work and receive His righteousness.

Like bread in a wood fired oven, Jesus took our fiery judgement on the cross so that we could live in His full acceptance and feast on His abundance.

As the Bread of Life, you can have as much of Him as you want. He longs to multiply His health to you, His hope to you, His Peace to you, His supply for your every need and desire.

Whether it’s practical, emotional or spiritual, He is no respecter of persons and requires nothing of you except this: come as you are and trust in His undying unconditional love for you.

Resting In His Love,

Annalee Reyes
