“…the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].” Ephesians 1:23 AMPC
Where do you feel empty today? Lacking? In need of understanding, acceptance and unconditional love? Are you going through something and you feel no one gets it? Do you feel rejected by someone you love or someone at work whom you feel should be respecting you or giving you recognition? Is there a gaping hole in your heart too painful to really share from losing someone dear? Or from a relationship that seems to have died?
Beloved, there is only One who knows your heart, completely and intricately. There is only One who knows every tear you’ve shed, every hurt you’ve hidden, every moment you’ve felt forsaken. And only The One, Jesus (your only source for real life) can fill those places with redeeming unconditional love, healing and restoration.
He is not only able, He IS willing! On the cross Jesus took it all to give you His all! There is nothing hindering you now from receiving from Him. No condemnation, no guilt, no shame!
We get down and out, lonely and resentful, lost and overwhelmed when we look to human love as our source. Beloved, man is man; imperfect and conditional. But Jesus, the Keeper of your heart, IS Perfect Love! His love is the only love that is FULL! His love is absolute, unlimited, unreserved, unrestricted, never-failing! It never runs out! It never runs dry! And He is forever pouring His love out into your heart to fill every void in your life!
When you put any one person in your life in a place where your happiness depends on that person, you will be disappointed. Only the Lord can fill that place. That loved one, spouse, child, friend, co-worker or politician cannot be your God. Only Jesus can give you what you need. Only your Father can fill those disappointments and desires with exceedingly beyond what you dare to trust Him for!
When you invite Him into those empty places and spaces, He will permeate your life with His overwhelming Presence. When you depend on Him, seeing His pure delight to bless, heal, and hold you, He will fill your love tank to overflowing. He will make the bitter places sweet. He will flood your dry land. He will bestow upon you beauty for ashes and turn your mourning into dancing!
So child of God, keep this in remembrance today…when you thirst for love, acceptance and attention, choose to draw from the Wellspring of Eternal Life, the One whose attention is always fixed on you! He will fill all in all!
“Jesus replied, “If you only knew who I am and the gift that God wants to give you—you’d ask me for a drink, and I would give to you living water…if anyone drinks the living water I give them, they will never thirst again and will be forever satisfied! For when you drink the water I give you it becomes a gushing fountain of the Holy Spirit, springing up and flooding you with endless life!” John 4:10, 14 TPT
