Put A Magnifying Glass Over Your Life

“And there was one…reclining…in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus was loving…”(John 13:23 YLT98)

Beloved, there’s nothing more significant and more transformational you can do each day than to gloat, yes, boast in God’s love for YOU…Not your love for or your devotion to Him; not how you can be a better person or a better Christian (don’t focus on self or performance but keep your eyes on Jesus who alone is your righteousness), but HIS love FOR YOU.

There is one man in the Bible we can glean from who did just that. His name is John. And in his own gospel, John refers to himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” Ironically these words only appear in his own gospel. This is not because Jesus loved him more. But John had a revelation, a deep rooted understanding that it was not about his love for Jesus but all about Jesus’ love for him. He knew God’s love was personal, perfect and bigger. And it was John who always found himself in the right place at the right time, even at the foot of the cross.

This is why it’s imperative to make His love for you personal. No two believers have the same intimate experience with Jesus. His desire is for you to experience a personal oneness with Him. YOU are His favorite. He never stops pursuing your heart to pull you in closer to His.

This is why my prayer for you is that you would experience the breadth and plumb the depths of His never ending love for you; a Love that knows no heights, lengths or widths (Eph. 3:20). A Love that hung on a cross for you as if you were the only one alive. A Love that gave and gives you new life with an open heaven of favor and blessings overhead ALL because His precious blood paid for it.

So today, let hope arise as you fix the eyes of your heart on His Eyes that are fixed on your heart (not your behavior), and the giant “YES” He has over every detail of your life. The truth is, when you magnify His love for you personally, you are actually magnifying God, giving Him the place of Source! And from that place, I assure you, your love for others will super-abound without force or burn-out.

Resting In His Love,
